Day 5 Online Class: Pattern Play

Hi friends.  This is my second post for today.

Yesterday was the last day of class and I have to say I am grateful to have won a spot in this class to be able to experience an online class.  I will be taking more online classes in the future, thank you ladies for all your hard work in putting this class together.  Yesterday was all about Paper Manipulation and Kristina taught this cool technique using your pattern paper.  I CASEd her card because it was amazing.

It is hard to tell in the photo but the butterfly was stamped onto another piece of Patterned paper that was in this paper pack and I fussy cut it out.  It is a very subtle pattern but very pretty in person.

I am also entering this card in Addicted to CAS: Spring and Simon Says Stamp:  Easter/Spring.  Butterflies certainly remind me of spring and the colors in the card remind me of Easter.

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Vellum cardstock, Lap of Luxury DSP
Ink:  Concord Crush
Stamps:  Flight of the Butterfly
Accessories:  Label framelit, paper piercing tool and mat pack

  8. Oooh...I did the paper quilting today too. It's much easier than I thought and such a fun effect. The butterfly on the vellum is perfect for it!

  10. I planned to do the paper quilting but got caught up in other cards. Maybe tomorrow. I love what you did with yours. How did you curl the sentiment?

    1. Thank you Bobby. The stamp set comes with the sentiment curled. If you google, Stampin Up! Flight of the butterfly you can see the sentiments and images. It is a fun set that I have gotten more use out of lately.

  12. Definitely a winner her! Your paper selection rocks!!! Seriously rocks. I really love how the curved sentiment almost softens the lines in the plaid paper - a total yin & yang effect. Stunning!
